SRX12441185: RNA-Seq of Zea mays Va35 kernels
1 ILLUMINA (NextSeq 500) run: 14.3M spots, 4.3G bases, 1.8Gb downloads

Design: RNA-Seq of Zea mays Va35 kernels
Submitted by: (USDA-ARS-SRRC)
Study: RNA-Sequencing of three corn lines with different levels of Aflatoxin resistance
show Abstracthide Abstract
To better understand the molecular mechanisms of maize resistance to Aspergillus flavus growth and aflatoxin accumulation in kernels, we performed a high-throughput study in situ using maize kernels infected with A. flavus. Kernels from three corn lines, TZAR102 (resistant), MI82 (semi resistant), Virginia-35 (susceptible) were inoculated with A. flavus NRRL3357 spores and harvested for RNA at 8 hours, 3 days, and 7 days.
Sample: Zea mays Va35 kernels grown for 7 days at 31 C in the dark
